EL Civics & Technology Coordinator (F/T)
Torrance Adult School, Torrance Unified School District, Torrance, California. 9/03 - present.

  • Develop and coordinate EL Civics program for ESL department of adult school - responsible for all aspects of program conformance, including student needs assessments, testing and reporting
  • Serve as Lead Teacher for multi-level ESL students (Beginning Low - Advanced) in computer-enhanced classroom
  • Mentor and train other ESL faculty on project-based learning and the effective use of instructional technology
  • Design and develop EL Civics lessons for use by ESL faculty in traditional and computer-enhanced classrooms
  • Advise administrators on EL Civics and instructional-technology issues, including agency technology plan
