- What is the purpose of this Archive?
The Reed's Armory Archive was initially established to provide a fanfiction archive for stories posted to the Reed's Armory Yahoo Group. It's scope was quickly expanded to encourage archiving of other stories featuring Malcolm Reed as well.
- What is its history?
The Yahoo group was established by Taryn Eve in March, 2003 as a place to go for 'all Reed, all the time' stories and discussion. With encouragement from Kylie Lee , Taryn Eve decided to set up an all-Reed archive, to include Reed stories with any pairing, or none at all.
The present list-mom and archivist is Mareel. That's me. I love reading and writing Reed stories, and want readers to be able to find them and writers to have another way to get their stories out there to be enjoyed.
- How do I submit a story?
Please see the Submissions section for details. You don't have to be a member of the Yahoo group to submit stories. Of course as the list-mom for that list, I encourage you to consider it.
- Are there guidelines?
Guidelines are pretty simple. The story must involve Malcolm Reed in some way. He need not be the main character, but must play some significant role. There's nover been any problem with this, and I don't expect to reject any stories for insuficient Malcolm-ness.
All genres are acceptable--slash, het, general. Stories must be complete, although individual stories in an ongoing series are fine. AU and crossover stories are fine, provided they meet the other guidelines.
If a story contains adult and/or slash content, please indicate this in the story headers. Also include specific warnings for stories including major character death (Deathfic), BDSM, rape or nonconsensual sexual activities.
Stories incorporating bestiality or any sexual activities involving minors are NOT accepted.
