Red Hattin' Around
Thurston County

Official website for
"Thurston County Red Hat Queens' Council"

Hello there sisters and welcome!

We're a new Red Hat Queen's Council and all Thurston County
Red Hat Chapters are welcome to attend the TCQC meetings.
There'll be information to share about Red Hat events coming
and Thurston County 'events of interest'. We could plan to
do 'HOOTS' together with any of the local TC events.

Events could be -- teas, going to local fairs, the movies,
putt putt golf, out to eat, the beach, picnics, getting our
nails done, going to the pumpkin patch, parades, etc.
HOOTS of all kinds....the list is unlimited!

To make this site more interesting:
Notes of interest, monthly recipe, monthly b-days, your
Red Hat photos, any local interesting events that are
coming soon will also be added. Do you have anything
you'd like to add? Email me and I'll pass on the info
and also place it here!

Peanut Butter Easter Eggs

1 (16 ounce) package confectioners' sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon milk
8 (1 ounce) squares semi-sweet chocolate
1 tablespoon shortening

1. In a mixing bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, peanut butter,
butter and milk (if needed for moisture) until blended. Shape
mixture into two 1/2 pound eggs or make a bunch of smaller eggs.
Freeze eggs for 1 hour.

2. While the eggs are freezing, cut semi-sweet chocolate into
small pieces and place in top of double boiler with shortening.
Melt over medium heat, stirring frequently until smooth. Stick
a long-tined fork in top of each peanut butter egg, dip it in
melted chocolate to cover then drain on waxed paper. When the
eggs are cooled and set, decorate the eggs to suit your fancy.

Cleaning Poem

I asked the Lord to tell me
Why my house is such a mess.
He asked if I'd been computering,
And I had to answer yes.

He told me to get off my fanny
And tidy up the house.
And so I started cleaning up...
The smudges off my mouse.

I wiped and shined the topside.
That really did the trick...
I was just admiring my work.
I didnt mean to click.

But click, I did, and oops I found
A real absorbing site.
That I got SO way into it.
I was into it all night.

Nothings changed except my mouse
Its very, very shiny.
I guess my house will stay a mess....
While I sit here on my hiney.
