Before you read Cha'tima's story, you may want to read a bit about where she comes from
Abiroi: a relatively small world, with three main continents separated by oceans. One year on Abiroi is equal to ten Pernese turns. It is inhabited by two main species. The humans, shorter lived and very much the same as humans in any other world and the Tun'mrin, human in appearance except for their wings and many many times longer lived than the humans of Abiroi.

Trades: Many humans and Tun'mrin take up trades. The major trades are music, arts, teaching, healing, cooking, breeding, farming, hunting, and building. Humans take up trades at the age of one, Tun'mrin take up trades at the age of five. Neither species has a definete advantage over the other in any trade.
Talents: Talents are more common in the Tun'mrin but are also found in a fair sized part of the human population. A Talent is when any one of the senses (sight, touch, taste, smell, or sound) is extremely well developed. Each person with Talent has their own skills as a result of it. Many people pick their trades according to their Talents depending on what special skills they have as a result. It is rare to have two Talents, but it has been known to happen.
