Roan and I awoke to fine weather. Today and Friday become the only two fine days of the 10 day journey. Taking advantage of this I woke Roan up earlier (as it takes him at least an hour each morning to massage and stretch). On top of Mt Capricorn I got to speak to Denise on Roan's CDMA - another morale boost! We performed a very taxing day by walking all day to Haven Lake. Roan was exhausted as he was still building fitness. The idea of doing Eastern Arthur's as well and going out by Farmhouse Ck was now starting to seem feasible although the Huon trail was spoken of as the way out at this stage. I was a little uneasy at the link to Pass Ck not having walked the section before.
The skies were becoming overcast again so we were glad we went beyong High Moor where we had lunch in the lovely sun and dried our boots and socks and wet weather gear out. On Mt Pegasus I had to dismantle my pack to get it through the hole in the rock. From Mt Capricorn we contacted our partners to let them know we were all fine. At the Beggary Bumps we had no problems and we got through them very quickly. The tilted chasm seemed much easier than two years earlier and I believe I will do it without rope in future. The walk from Lover's Leap until we passed through the horns of Mt Taurus seemed to drag on a bit. I made sure Taurus was bagged this time through!
