Chadoora Campsite to Dwellingup township
Day 9 - finally a town! We left early which was probably a mistake because my fingers and toes were numb with cold and if I could sleep in I would of. Anyway a 20km walk from 6 am got us to Dwellingup. We booked twin share into the Berrydale Bed and Breakfast. The other options were a sleazy looking pub or a caravan park with one room boxes for hikers. The general store was great for food supplies but didn't have primus stove fuel so yet again I was dependant on Rone for his cooker.
Due to the 10 days of isolation I had to eat out and eat well so I had lunch at the Millhouse Cafe consisting of a steak sandwich and a Newbliss Cab Sav sourced from the local area. The wine was excellent. For dinner I had a 3 course meal at the B&B and enjoyed the company of non hikers. One of the highlights of the walk was the way you felt supported by tho local population along the way.
