Day 33 - Schaefer to Northcliffe
After not sleeping very well I was a little drained of energy. Nevertheless the walk was easy being just 14 km to Northcliffe. After 6km of interesting forest walking the remainder of the walk until Northcliffe Forest Park was along country roads. Northcliffe Forest Park was an introduction to the Gardiner river but since the weather was very wet and cold I was more interested in reaching the next township.
I decided to stay at the Northcliffe pub for $35 a night it was the cheapest option other than sleeping in the streets. The Northcliffe general store was very well stocked and I bought an extra day's food or so to cover myself until I would reach Walpole.
