July Special Update:
Mikey's Dad has a birthday this month. He figured since Mikey didn't have much time to enjoy his own birthday, in February, Dad would give Mikey his July birthday! (Besides, Dad says he's already HAD more birthdays than he cares to remember! ~wink~) So Dad asked that we "do it all" for Mikey.

Today's picture is of Mikey with his camel and his big brother, Joe. Mikey visited Joe's workplace and met some of the many people who have been praying for him, then Joe came over and cooked lunch for us yesterday. Mikey's camel is a gift from Mikey's heart nurse, Debi. She was in Israel and bought the camel in Palestine for Mikey. It's carved out of olive wood and has a permanent home on our mantel above the fireplace.
Sissy's fiance took both our family and his family out for dinner for Father's Day last night and most of our family should be together for sunday services this morning.
Mikey is doing fine. And he's right where he belongs. And we're enjoying every minute with him. Thank You, Lord!
For you, Mikey-me-lad!!
CAMELOT

The camel is a beast of old,
And beautiful he's not;
But there is this about the camel
That's surely food for thought:
Before the camel can lie down
To go to sleep at night,
He first must get upon his knees,
If he's to do it right.
And when the dawn comes inching up
To light the sky of gray,
Before the camel can go forth
To greet the brand new day,
Before he rises, proud and tall,
To sniff the morning breeze
And do what camels have to do;
He first gets on his knees!
So let me take a lesson from
This gawky, gangly mammal:
To keep things in perspective, I
Should imitate the camel!!
For a moment on retiring, and
Again at day's inception;
Upon my knees, I'll gather strength,
With prayer and soft reflection.
And if, sometimes, my life becomes
Too busy for time for thought,
Just remind me that my destiny.....
Is surely "CAMEL - LOT" !!!
