A man abd a winab who had been corresponding with  each otheracross the country via the Internet eventually  fell in love " They were dying to meet each other in person. They agreed to fly into Chicago and meet at the airport.Since they  had never seen each other, they came up with plan that would help them recognize each other . The woman  would wear a green hat and have a green carnation pinned to her coat . Since  her flight was due to arrive shortly before his, she would be at the gate waiting for his arival.
When the man disembarked from his plane , he immediately began  searching for her. In a matter of moments he spied a woman standing off from the crowd with a green scarf, a green hat , and a green carnation pinned to he coat. His heart sank. She was one  of the plainest women he had ever seen. he was almost ready to get back on the plane without even going up to her .He felf an obligation so  he walked over to the woman , tapped her on the shoulder, smiled, and then introduced himself.
Without hesitation the woman blurted out,  'What is this all about? Is this some kind of TV Show or what?" I have no idea who you are .That  woman over there behind that pillar gave me twenty dollars to wear all these things. She said it was important." When the man looked over at the woman  standing by the pillar, he caught sight of one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen.
The man approached the woman and they made their formal introductions . Later in the conversation she explained her ruse. "All my life men have wanted to be with me , to be my friend, all because of my outward appearance. They consider me beautiful . This is why i started a relationship over the internet. I wanted to meet someone who would love me, not just for my outward apprarance , but for what i am inside."
