Back by popular demand! I have heard you all loud and clear. The Pheonix will once again offer the Golden Quill, The Silver Quill, and special competitions at various Holidays. Read on to learn more details about these competitions.

The Golden Quill has been established to designate writing of exceptional merit. The Golden Quill is given to the best of the best, writing that moves us in some way, or stands out above all others. To be eligible the piece must be a complete work (e.g., in the serial novel category, the WHOLE novel is nominated). Any member of The Pheonix writing community may nominate for the Golden Quill by sending an email to: pheonixweb@hotmail.com. Please be sure to include the Title, Author Name, and Genre of the nominated piece in your email. Your nomination will then be reviewed and voted upon by the members of The Pheonix Review Board.

The Silver Quill has been established to designate writing that stands out above all others for the month in which it is submitted. Anyone may vote for the Silver Quill at the time they read and review the piece. At the end of the month, each story that is eligible for voting that month will be reviewed, and the votes will be tallied and posted on the site.

The Holiday Themes Competition:   Periodically during the year, to coincide with a holiday, special competitions will be announced. Anyone may vote in this competition at the time that they read and review the piece. At the end of the competition, the winner will be posted on the site.

I am pleased to once again offer these competitions to recognize exceptional writing, and hope that all of you take the time to show our writers how much you appreciate their work.
