Workers at Clay extraction

The clay was used in the cement production, and a percentage of it was cooked with the limestones. The extraction of clay was done at km. 6,5. A siding was provided there in order to allow schwitching operations.

Photo taken by Sergio Martire, showing a boxcar at km. 6,5. This boxcar has been converted to a stationary lodging for the personnel employed in the clay extraction. This was one of the original box cars of the EFPP, with two axles arrangement. Photo taken in 1976.

Workers at  Rails in Cajamar Yard. Photo taken in 1971 by the Japanese group (Kemuri Pro) and published in the “Steam Locomotives”  nr.7, by Koyusha Publishing, Japan. The photo shows employees of the rail maintenance crew, in the Cajamar yard, adjusting a switch-machine. In the background, another employee is cleaning the smoke box of a Porter engine.
