In
fact,
the present situation of the rolling stock of the EFPP would need no
more explanations, since the attached photos are self-explaining. The
material, abandoned in the yards, rip tracks and even in the sheds,
never saw any kind of care. Instead, some kind of attacks against the material has been done along the years, by thieves or even by personnel interested to take parts as souvenirs. |

.Since
1983, when the operations ceased due to the bankruptcy of the cement
mill, the owner doesn’t accept any kind of
intent to preserve the parts. Individual
efforts have been done by enthusiasts to clean locos or repair shed
covers, but the owner refuses these collaborations, affirming that the
material is still his property. Nevertheless,
as at the end of operations in 1983 many locos were still active, one
can suppose that it will not be difficult to put one or two locos back
on the rails…For the passenger cars, heavy jobs must be done, for
the conservation of these peaces was not done properly, and they were
not stored under sheds. |

It
seems that, after 21 years of trials, finally the fans will have
chance to see railroad operating again. We hope the material will have condition to be repaired!
