Our Community - Our Pride - Our Celebration! Whether your path is Gardnerian, Asatru, Druidic, Discordian, or Dianic, there is a place for you at Pride. This is our day to celebrate our community and the many different paths that make up Pagan spirituality. Whether you come with a lawn chair and spend the whole day chatting with friends or spend hours at the face painting table - this is your Pride! Aside from the celebration of our community Pagan Pride Day is an important opportunity for outreach to the mainstream community. If we are invisible within the larger community how can we ever hope to inform and educate. Pagan Pride gives us the chance to be loud, out, and proud. Our Community - Our Pride - Our Celebration! What is Pagan Pride Day? The mission of the Pagan Pride Project is to foster pride in Pagan identity through education, activism, charity and community. Ottawa Pagan Pride Day is a celebration of religious diversity and thanksgiving. It is a day set aside for being ourselves; to honour the paths we all walk and celebrate that walk with us. By celebrating in the Autumn season, we also give thanks for the bountiful harvest, both physically and spiritually. We're never going to be able to practice our spiritual paths openly if we don't give the public accurate information about what we do and do not do. Also, we're never going to be able to practice openly if we don't interact with others in our local Pagan communities. We need to weave networking webs in our cities, in our towns, in our rural areas. We need these webs to support one another. Here in Ottawa, we are weaving that web. Blessed Be!
