Shrek (Mike Myers) is an Ogre that lives in a swamp. He recently married Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz), who was turned into an ogre.
Together, they are journeying to the Kingdom of Far, Far Away, in order to meet Fiona's parents the king and queen (Julie Andrews), who have no idea that thier daughter is an ogre or that she even married an ogre!
Meanwhile, Prince Charming thinks he is going to marry Fiona, and Fairy Godmother (his mother) will see to that! The King, tapped in the middle, rents the services of a certain cat to help stop Shrek...
Shrek 2 Is even more hilarious a film than the first. I could not stop laughing! And when Joan rivers popped up at the red carpet ceremony, I just thought I would $#!t myself!
You have to see the film in order to understand why it's so funny.
Plot:
As good, if not better than the first one!
Animation:
The same great job as the first movie.
Sound:
great choices for voice actors, and Julie Andrews just sums it all up nicely.
Nice end song, the outdated "Livin' La Vida Loca," by Ricky Martin (Hey... what happened to him anyway?)
Character Development:
Atmosphere:
The whole plot may seem kiddyish, but there is an overabundance of adult material in the film to make anyone love it. Kids will go crazy; adults will love the satire.
Realism:
Warren’s Rating:
Movies it was nominated with for Best Animated Feature:
Is the movie worth your time to watch?
