The spot ... what can I say about the spot? It is a Canadian masterpiece that spawned this Web site and sparked national pride, just like many of the Molson Canadian television ads that came before it. The "My Name Is Joe" ad, "Where's Your Pet Beaver?", or those ones from the Winter Olympics where hockey players from other nations had nervous breakdowns or feigned injury or reserved hospital beds when they found out they'd have to play Canada.

I am hoping to have maybe some frame grabs or, if I really get ambitious, a QuickTime movie of the spot up here soon. Either way, I'm not entirely sure if I can get audio on it. So, for now, you can make up your own audio in your head while you read a transcript of the spot ...

TRANSCRIPT:
(A man and a woman are talking at a party. The woman emits a very nasal laugh.)
AMERICAN WOMAN: So, you're from Canada?
CANADIAN MAN: Yeah ...
AMERICAN WOMAN: Do you know Glenn, from Canada? (Man rolls eyes) He works in an office, he plays hockey, he says 'eh' a lot ...
CANADIAN MAN: Oh yeah, Office Glenn. (Puts his hand on her shoulder) He's dead. (Walks away)

See, wasn't that great?

Okay, yeah, you're right ... I guess you do kind of have to see it. But, trust me, when you do, you'll love it.
