Archives Nov 04 2003 - Kelis looked beautiful on 106&Park tonight! She premiered the hot new video for "Milkshake" which you can go to www.bet.com/106andpark to vote for! They will re-air the show tommorow at 10:30 am EST--so catch it if you can. She said she was going to be doing some touring next year! She announced that P. Diddy is no longer her manager and said she's looking for some artist of her own. So y'all can send her demo's and whatnot. I didn't get the address, but keep checking over at startrakmusic.com and maybe they'll have something about it over there. Kelis singing original lyrics over a beefed up "Things That Dreams Are Made Of" backing track taken from the League's Love and Dancing remix LP. Topped off with some of the trademark wibbly noises as heard in "Freak Like Me" and some nice lush production snippets (sH). The title is "Finest Dreams" and reaction to it has been divided so far. The hush-hush album, which doesn't have a title or release date yet, will include tracks produced by Deep Dish, Felix Da Housecat and famed Soul II Soul leader Nellee Hooper (Björk, Madonna). The rapper will premiere the album's first single — a duet with singer Kelis — at the DanceStar American Dance Music Awards on March 19. Jan 21 03 - Sister 2 Sister magazine writer Carl Overby says he "loves" Kelis' music in an interview with Dani Stevenson(the girl that sings the "Hot In Herre" hook). Stevenson said she did too.
