A Celebration of Reading
Mike has an enormous list of books he has read over the last 40 years.  Most of the recent years are annotated.

A Transient On Spaceship Earth . . . ***NEW***
Not really a book page -- written by a someone near and dear.)

Book Crossing
Set your books free. This site encourages readers to release their books "into the wild" for other readers to find and pass along to yet others. A great concept to promote reading. Fun, too!

The Book Forum
A terrific book forum with members from around the globe. Friendly discussion forum about books and topics related to books.

Books, Books, Books
Numerous links to almost everything you might want to know about books. Very well-organized (Lynne's a librarian).  Make sure you check out the rest of Lynne's Web for her personal interests, ranging from word puzzles, to "Coronation Street" to cross-stitch.

Book Browser
"The guide for avid readers".  Reading lists and series by genre.
(This site has recently joined Barnes & Noble and I'm not sure I like it. I think it's lost its personal touch and is no different than doing a direct search on barnes & noble or amazon.com. Meaning: it may be coming off this list.- ell)
Bookends
Favorites lists, reviews, and reader polls. Nice interactive site.
BookSpot.com
A very informative site full of reading lists, award winners, author links, and much more.
Discussing Books
Book reviews with links and bibliographical information about the books and authors reviewed. Games to test your literary knowledge and a separate section in French.
The Dusty Shelf
"The Dusty Shelf is a group of readers who have a passion and love for those books often left upon the dusty shelves, Classic literature."
Eric's Books & Music
A new site by a young webmaster. It looks good and has great potential. I'm interested in watching this site develop and grow.
First Lines
So you think you know books.  But do you know the first lines of books?  Test your knowledge by naming the book and author of the "first line" of a book.  It's made a little easier with categories  (eg. Sci-fi, I Saw the Movie, 1950's, etc.).  A  fun site.
Mostly Fiction.com
Reviews covering a wide variety of genres. Recommended books and lots of links. A very professional-looking site.
Readers' Refuge
Wonderful lists of favourites and intelligent commentary. Make sure you take the time to read the webmaster's thought-provoking essays.

Interesting selection of books. Lots of fantasy and science fiction.
