| Chapter 27 ~I should Have payed attention~ *45 Minutes Later* "Mr. Carter?" A doctor said walking up to him and everyone else. "Yes?" Nick said. "Mr.Carter, I'm Dr.Swanson, Kristina's doctor." He said shaking Nick's hand "Nice to meet you Dr. Swanson, how is Kristina?" "She has a concusion, that we know for sure. We don't know how serious it is because she isn't conscience. With that factor in place there is a possibility that she could slip into a coma." "Thank You." Nick said sitting down. "Your weclome." "Excuse me, Dr.Swanson." Kevin said before he was able to walk off. "Yes." He said turning back around. "We would appreciate it if you could move her into a private room wtih security around." "Uh, sir I don't understand why?" "Well see, we're all in two different groups that have large fan bases and it would be best for her safety as well as ours to have her placed in that area." "I'll see that its done, anything else?" "Yes, please don't let it slip out that we're here so our fans want bombard the hospital." "I will see to that." "Thank you." "Your Welcome." "Doctor!" Jennifer announced. "Can we see her?" "Yes but only for a few minutes then after that it'll have to be one person at a time." "Okay what room?" Samantha asked. "She'll be put in room...549." He said taking a look at his clipboard and then leaving them all to let what he said sink it. *An Hour Later* "Mr. Carter, you can see her now." A nurse said from the desk she was sitting behind. "Thank you." Nick said getting up slowly. Nick and everyone else walked through the hopital to Room 549. "Umm, can I go in for a minute alone please?" Nick asked. "Yeah sure, take you time." Kevin said. "Thanks." Nick opened the dood and slowly walked into the room. In front of him he saw Kristina lying there with bruises on her face and a bandage on her head. It couldn't take it. He sat down in the chair next to her and took her fragil hand and held it close. He brought it up to his lips and lightly kissed it. Then he broke down and cried against the bed. "Oh baby, I'm so sorry, I should've payed attention. You have to wake up, you just have to. I love you so much I don't see how I could live without you." Nick whispered in between sobs. 'knock knock' Everyone came in to see Nick beside Kristina crying. Amanda walked over to him and hugged him. He cried on her shoulder while she comforted him. "She looks so weak." AJ commented. "She'll be fine right?" Nick asked looking at each person in the room. "Yea, she's a fighter, and she has a lot to survive for." Kevin said reasuring him. "Why'd this have to happe? Why her? I'd rather it be me in that bed not her. God I just told her I love her." Everyone smeiled sympathetically towards him since they didn't know what to say. "I got an idea, its not much but its something she would like." "What is it?" Nick asked. "Let's all sing to her." "Good idea, but what song." Brian asked. "Well its by you guys, its one of her favorite songs." "Which song?" "I need you tonight." Nick smiled and lookec down at her. They all sang the song that she loved. Nick doing the main vocal parts and the others coming in on the last chorus. After the finished they felt a little better, but Nick broke back down into tears. "Let's leave Nick here we'll go wait outside." Kevin said walking with everyone to the door. "Thank you." Nick whispered. *2 Hours Later* 'Knock knock' no answer.....'knock knock' still no answer "Nick?" Amanda said cracking the door enough to stick her head in. He looked up at her. "Do you want something to eat? He shook his head no. "Okay, how about I give you a break, maybe go outside and get some fresh air?" "And do what? Leave her here?" "No I can stay." "No Amanda its okay, I'm fine but could you go downstairs and get me a drink?" "Yeah sure." She said closing the door. Nick still sat in the chair he sat down in the first time he walked through the door. He hadn't moved and he didn't plan on it. He was blaming himself. Although he knew she'd tell him it wasn't his fault he couldn't help but feel it was.
