Tarin's Dragon continued.... |
Tarin's room was great!! The rug was scarlet in color and looked to be oriental in our world. He had a huge, four poster, redwood bed, redish-brown in color, with a thick scarlet comforter to match the rug. The bed was place in the middle of the rug, which was bordered by a beautiful wooden floor. The dresser matched the wood on the bed, red-brown in color, only, the dresser had a very pretty carving in the middle of each drawer. The window had an excellent view of the cove and of the beautiful forest that was at the beginning gates of the cove. The Kantel House was just as beautiful as Tarin's room, and its people were very nice and polite. They had a kitchen that everyone in the house basically cooked and ate in. Sono's stable was just as good looking. It smelled of fresh pine, and it was very, very clean. Tarin went in search of a suitable job the next morning. The cove was so wonderful! The people were very nice, and the food was great! Amazing at how wonderful this place was, Tarin got lost in the beauty of it. By the end of they day, Tarin had gotten a job as a cook. He always had a special touch for cooking. Over the next few days, Tarin forgot about his family, and forgot about signing up for a dragon. Then, one morning, Shania brought it up. "Tarin, did you know that over at the sands, one of the rare silver dragons just had a clutch??" she asked him. Finally remebering about it, Tarin replied. "Yes, I do. Before I came to stay here, I applied." "That is wonderful! You know, we do have a lot of room for you to keep your dragon?" "Yes, I know. And I also know how wonderfully nice you are!" He said as he got up to clean his plate of the rest of his breakfast. "Well, alot of people are saying that the clutch wil be hatching soon. I suggest that you get a head start at reserving a place for him or her and getting it ready!" Shania told him. "Ok, mother!" Tarin said joking. "But, I do want to thank you for all you've done. It really seems that you are my mother," Tarin said smiling. "Oh, get over here and give your 'mother' a hug then!" She said with outstretched arms. He walked over and gave her a tight hug. "Do not think anything of it," Shania said in his ear. Kissing her lightly on the cheek, Tarin said goodbye and set off for work. When he got home, Tarin had bought a bag of hay and walked to where alot of riders kept their dragons. All of the stalls were open and had no doors. The roof was open as well, letting in sunshine and moon light. But, some of the roof was still there. Tarin guessed so the dragons could stay dry when it rained. He came upon and empty stall with no sign. He took out his wooden sign that read: reserved, and opened the bag of hay. They bag was large enough for Tarin to put down a thick layer of hay all over the stall. Later on that night, work was sent to fetch the candidates. Soon, Tarin arrived in the sands in his beige robes, the dragons were hatching!!! As Tarin arrived, he looked around to see that the men were out numbered by the women by 1. He also looked to see a girl with blue hair in a bun on her head sitting down with a man that had brown eyes next to her. Strangly, they had a dog sitting quietly in front of her, and their red and silver dragons were also sitting nearby, along with Selena, the coveleader, and her mate, Nimor. The silver, which was the mother, Blia, was closely watching the eggs as each one broke. Out of the four rares, two greens, and one blue, Tarin bonded the only blue and became flightleader of the flight. His new dragon, Jaefa, was a wonderful companion and was very friendly to him, yet protective of Tarin at the sametime. They both were made for each other. |
