Kiarra's Story
Kiarra walked along the dirt path that led into a secluded part of the nearby forest where she could think. She was of 16 and was part faerie and part human, with transparent wings that looked to be as delicate as a web.
Her mother was of the fae people, her father, a mere human. Kiarra's father was, however, an excellent dragonrider, who, unfortunatley died as a result of battle. Her mother still lived with the fae and visited Kiarra quite often, but Kiarra could only on occasion visit her. She was excepted in both races but never really liked living with any of them. Instead she lived in a secluded, little cottage, next to her forest which was filled with trees and flowers of all sorts. The forest was of a great beauty in the winter. Its trees looked as if it was summer, still flourished with flowers and green leaves. But, the flowers would change colors. In the summer and spring they were of pink, violet, and yellow. In the fall, they changed to the fall colors, as well as the leaves. And when winter came, the leaves would change to an icy blue, and the flowers, white.
Some believed that Kiarra's forest was like this because of her fae background. Others believed because she was special, and controlled nature with white magic.

Kiarra lived by herself, with the creatures if the forest visiting her every now and then. But, as she arrived in the middle of her forest, where the trees grew around a circular part, she noticed something parculiar. A white cocoon, large  in length, hung from the biggest tree, which was also the only tree in the circle. Wondering what it could possibly be, Kiarra got closer, placing a hand on the silky thread, that was spun around some sort of creature inside of the cocoon. She felt the creature and its warmth, realising that it was of different origin than of the other creatures that made her forest home.
Kiarra had a speacial power that came with her fae origin, she could determine what any animal or creature was, just by placing one finger on it. She soon identified the creature within as an Egyptan, and slowly left her area to leave it be.
When she arrived home, Kiarra looked through all of her books, (which were all about creatures of the lands and realms), until she found one. It had a dog-like creature on the front, with wings that were spread, and they covered the cover of the book. She opened it and learned as much  information as the book could tell her.
The same hour, Kiarra arrived into her area and starred at the cocoon. Knowing when it would hatch, she adopted it and decided to care for it, not as a pet, but as a friend and bondmate.
The next day, Kiarra went back to the cocoon to see if it was alright. As she approached it, she noticed a small rip in the material. Looking through the rip was a yellow eye.
Little by little, the cocoon ripped with each part of the Egyptan pushing through.
