Philosophy

Monroe County Christian Academy believes that every student is an individual person who has been blessed by God with special gifts of personality, intellect, physical ability, and individual talents. The environment and experiences that are provided at Monroe County Christian Academy are designed to nurture these God given abilities, while assisting each student in achieving academic excellence and learning to live and work in harmony with others.

Monroe County Christian Academy is a school where excellence in education is emphasized in a climate of Christian nurturing and mentoring. It is the clear purpose of the Academy to expose each student to the Bible and to teach the revelation of God through His Son, Jesus Christ, and the principles of His Kingdom. The religious instruction that is offered will be positive, continuous, and will place emphasis on developing a personal relationship with God.

It is the goal of Monroe County Christian Academy to assist each student in attaining academic excellence in a Christian environment. This will be achieved through the use and development of language skills, continuous exposure to new information, and the development of the mind in problem-solving situations that involves the application of a challenging educational curriculum, known as School of Tomorrow, that is performance oriented, yet allows the child to work at his own pace without pressure. Demanding challenges will continually be provided in language skills, mathematics, science, social studies, history, health, physical education, and the fine arts. Hard work is expected of all who are involved in the process; students, faculty, and parents.
