Admissions Policy

Monroe County Christian Academy is a family centered school which functions as a service to all families needing an alternative to public school.Attending Monroe County Christian Academy or using our homeschool program is a privelege, not a right. We are committed to developing the individual student's full potential and preparing each student to succeed in life and make a positive contribution to the community. We encourage applications from all students who are seriously interested in the school's programs. In keeping with the mission statement of the school, Monroe County Christian Academy seeks excellence as well as diversity in its student body.

Monroe County Christian Academy admits students based upon an interview with the child and parents, information learned through the admissions screening process, and their prior scholastic record. Since students are expected to maintain at least a "C" average in all classes, their previous academic records and/or their diagnostic testing must reflect evidence of their ability to attain this standard. Through these criteria the school seeks to admit children who clearly demonstrate:

1. A likelihood of academic success within a challenging Christian environment.

2. High moral character.

3. Social adjustment.
