Max Evans
Rather unnoticed, Max Evans is mysterious and no one, beside his sister Isabel and his best friend Michael, seems to know him... However, he hides a secret. He is an alien. Kept in an incubation pod of the 1947 crash, he emerges at six years old and is adopted by the Evans with his sister Isabel. Later the two of them become a trio by finding Michael, another alien.
Max is the most cautious of the three and he applies strict rules to them to not approach humans. But later, he breaks himself the rule by saving his love since third grade, Liz Parker. She then, knows his secret and when he is finally able to reveal his feelings toward her, he is the subject of his 'destiny'.

Elizabeth Parker
Liz Parker is the A-straight student living in a small town, who leads a normal life. She is loyal and shares her free time with her two friends Maria and Alex.. She is well known in Roswell because of the restaurant her parents own and of her dating with the sheriff's son, Kyle. She dreams of Harvard and of more excitement in Roswell. But after a shooting at the Crashdown Cafe where she works and a healing by Max Evans, her life changes forever. She discovers that aliens are not only a touristic attraction, but a reality. She falls in love with one of them, Max Evans, and she believes that he is her soulmate and destiny until a secret message from Max's mother reveals the contrary.
