		Cinder was a nominee for the American Kennel Club’s 2003 ACE (Awards for Canine Excellence) Awards in the Therapy Category and received a Certificate of Honor from them "in recognition of Dogs in the Service of Mankind".
		On March 2, 2003, Cinder was honored by the NJ Veterinary Foundation’s Animal Hall of Fame with a Certificate of Merit for her Therapy and Disaster Stress Relief work. Our local newspaper, the NJ Herald, did a lovely article about it.
		Cinderella, along with many other therapy dogs, was also recently honored by Therapy Dogs International, Inc. with the desingation DSR - Disaster Stress Relief Dog, for her efforts at the Pier 94 Family Assistance Center in the aftermath of 9/11. Please click on the picture below

		Cinder, Pierce and I competed at an agility trial today. Cinder and I went to check how soon we'd be running (huge class) and she was walking nicely at my side, ignoring people and dogs. All of a sudden she pulled me over to a woman sitting on the sidelines. She put her front paws up on the woman's lap to get her attention, then sat in front of her and pressed herself up against the woman's leg and wouldn't move. The woman was delighted and enjoyed petting Cinder. Even said Cinder could come home with her ;>) She said Cinder was very intuitive to know who likes her. I mentioned that Cinder was a therapy dog and the woman exclaimed "ah, that explains it - I've been ill!" (I kind of suspected that, but didn't want to ask). This thrilled me more than any ribbon or Q that Cinder could have received! "She did win a gold ribbon, and it is hers to keep forever. GOD saw a Great Soul and gave her a task of love and faith.
