I do not know any details regarding the family of William Wilson. The 1881 census suggests he was born in approximately 1850 in County Durham. The 1901 census is more precise and suggests either Wilsington or Wolsingham, County Durham.
What is certain is in approximately 1872 he married Elizabeth Henderson and they had at least eight children in Tunstall, Sunderland before the 1901 census. His occupation in the 1881 census is "Labourer" but the 1901 census records William's occupation as "Colliery Horse Driver". I don't know when either Elizabeth or William died. |
