Thomas Robinson was born in approximately 1823 in Sunderland, County Durham. I don't know who his parents were or whether he had siblings. He married Ann Miller in approximately 1847 and they had at least three children; William (b.1849), Ann (b.1853) and Stephen (b.1856). There were probably others also. He records his occupation as "Shipwright" at the birth of Stephen in 1856, the 1871 census and the 1881 census. The 1901 census records a seventy-nine-year-old Thomas Robinson as a "Retired Shipwright". Thomas died sometime after the 1901 census though I have yet to find a record of this yet. |
