Ann Miller was born in approximately 1825 in Houghton, County Durham. I don't know who her parents were or whether she had siblings. She married Thomas Robinson in approximately 1847 and they had at least three children; William (b.1849), Ann (b.1853) and Stephen (b.1856). There were probably others also. Thomas records his occupation as "Shipwright" at the birth of Stephen in 1856, the 1871 census and the 1881 census. The 1901 census records a seventy-nine-year-old Thomas Robinson as a "Retired Shipwright". I can find no reference to Ann in this census so I assume her to be dead by this time.
