BIOGRAPHY:
Mary Lord was born in West Haddon or Dunchurch, Warwickshire in approximately 1817. Her father's name was John Lord, who was a Labourer. She married Mr Baydon and they had at least one child, named Ann. Mr Baydon died at some time before 1848 as she is recorded as a widow when she marries for the second time to Joseph Masters on 25 April 1848.

In the 1851 census she is recorded as the second wife of Joseph Masters and lived with him, his two children from his first marriage, their daughter Elizabeth and her daughter Ann Baydon. By the time of the 1861 census they had added to this with twin boys, William and Joseph.

Mary is recorded in the 1881 census as being the 64-year-old wife of Joseph Masters. Their son Joseph still lives with them and is 36 years old. Both men record their occupations as Agricultural Labourer.

Mary is recorded in the 1891 census of Willoughby as a 74-year-old widow. She lives alone and records her birthplace as Dunchurch. She dies soon after this census on 31 May 1891.
