My real name: |
Lisa Dawn Marie. The meanings are "consecrated to God"/"sunrise"/"perfect one". |
My online nicknames: |
Lyrialla, made up by combining 'lyrical' and random letters; Sakura, which is because I love cherry trees and found this name in Japanese folklore; Xephyr, which means "west wind", plus it just sounds cool. |
My birthdate: |
April 28th, 1981. Spring is my favorite season overall. Winter is just too evil and cold. I'd rather run barefoot down the beach than shovel snow off my car. Erm...okay, most people would, but... |
Zodiac sign: |
Taurus. Yes, I have the characteristic stubbornness too. Grrr.... |
Height: |
5 foot, 11 inches. Alas, I am a giant. It's even worse when I wear heels. I like being taller than a lot of people though. Yes, tall people do have a superiority complex. :P |
Weight: |
135 pounds. A lot of that is muscle because I can fight, baby! |
Eye and hair color: |
My eyes are hazel (they used to be green when I was younger) and my hair is a dark brown with hints of red (thanks Mom!). I want my green eyes back. They were so pretty. |
Location: |
Maryland, USA. Where the weather is everchanging and the winters are EVIL and unpredictable. I'm hoping to move out of this city soon though. Yucky industrial buildings. Cough, cough. |
Occupation(s): |
Currently, a full-time undergraduate student planning to graduate in the spring of 2004. I've also done some modeling work on the side. But as for a 'real' job? Being a student is demanding enough. |
Classes for fall 2003 (aka ways to make Lisa go crazy): |
Developmental Biology (442), Calculus and Analytic Geometry II (152), Applied Statistics (454), Advanced Topics in Psychology Introduction to Clinical & Therapeutic Relationships (493), and Interdisciplinary Studies Seminar Complementary Medicine (430). This should be fun. |
Dogs or cats?: |
Dogs all the way, partly due to the fact that I'm allergic to cats. I have a puppy (she's actually 10 years old, but acts like one still) and she's one of my best friends. Her name's Lucky and she's a mutt. I don't think I could live without a dog in my life. They make the best friends, always there to cheer you up. I love all animals though. One of my favorite places to go is the zoo. |
My family portrait: |
There's my mom, dad, younger sister Kasey (age 20), my older brother Mike (age 34), my older sister Kristin (Mike's wife, age 32), my older brother Matt (age 33), my older sister Jen (Matt's wife, age 28), my niece Taylor (age 7), my nephews Skyler, Jaden, and Cole (ages 9, 4, 4). |
Favorite TV show: |
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Shush...it's good! It sucks it's the last season though. Now, I have to find something else good, yet underrated, to watch. I'm open for suggestions. |
Favorite movie: |
No idea, but from childhood, it would have to be "Labyrinth" or "The Neverending Story". I'm a sucker for fantasy movies. Mmm..."Lord of the Rings". I love elves!! |
Favorite music: |
I like ALL types of music, just as long as it sounds good. Of course, I'm the final judge of what sounds good. Some of my favorite artists though are Tori Amos, BT, and John Mayer. I also play the piano and am teaching myself guitar. Also, I sing like an angel (who has just fallen down 10 flights of stairs, mind you). |
Favorite flower/tree: |
I absolutely love tulips, especially white ones. But again, I like all types of flowers. So pretty! My favorite tree would be a Sakura (cherry blossom) tree. They're so beautiful in spring when the blossoms are falling. |
Religious?: |
Yes, although I rarely go to church and like to come up with my own interpretation of what the Bible says. Not that I really have a clue or anything. I'm a non-denominational Christian girl. |
In my free time: |
The things I enjoy doing are Tae Kwon Do (black belt), drawing, painting, listening to music, talking to friends, traveling, playing games, learning new things, as well as all things concerning love *wink*. |
Current goals: |
To finish my undergraduate work, then move on to get a master's degree, probably in biostatistics or epidemiology. I'm interested in studying diseases and any patterns that exist within a population. Yay...science and math! I told you I was a geek. Now, maybe you'll believe me! |
Want to know anything else?: |
I can't think of any other questions at the moment, but maybe you can. Just contact me and let me know. I'll answer anything. |
