I use either 3/4 inch thick Vermont pine or 1/4 inch birch plywood.
Signs on 3/4 inch pine can have a routed edge if you choose.
All lettering
and many graphics are hand painted.
I choose to decoupage the image of horses and pets as, in my estimation,
it is a sure way of having your horse or pets true image on the sign
rather then a "likeness".
People, pets, houses, cars, boats, flowers, etc. Makes for great gifts!

or treat yourself to something for your barn, farm, home or anywhere!
STAINS:
Stains can vary slightly in shade from what is shown here.
PAINTS AND COLORS:
All lettering is hand painted but painting the sign or plaque rather
then using a stain is also very nice so if that's your choice,
just let me know the color. I'm sure I have the it.
Another interesting surface on plaques, signs or tiles is "crackled"!
This gives the painted surface an aged effect and looks very nice.
All signs and plaques are finished with two or more coats of polyurethane
unless otherwise stated.
FONTS
Fonts are fun! There is such a selection of them that the "right font"
can be found for any sign or plaque.

or let me pick it
for you. Of course you always have the final
say in what your plaque or sign will look like.
Photographs For Decoupage
If you are choosing a decoupage plaque or sign, I will need a good clear
photograph. It would be best to have a contrasting color behind the subject
so that all important aspects of the subject can be identified easily.
You can either send the photo in an e-mail or upload it as a file.
Please send photo's at a workable size (not too big or small)
and .bmp .jpg or gif. would be best.
If you don't know how to resize, etc., let me know and I'll walk you through it.
When I receive the photo, I digitally ready it and e-mail the
finished layout to you for your approval along with the cost for the final work.
If you cannot send a photo by e-mail - then sending a photo by regular
mail is also an option. If you want your scanned photo returned,
please send an SASE (self addressed stamped envelope) with it.
I cannot return photo's without an SASE.
