Decoupage starts with a picture.
Any image can be a decoupage as long as the photo or printed picture is good for copy;
People, houses, cars,
boats, flowers, etc. I will need a good clear image.
It would be best to have a contrasting color behind the subject so that
all important aspects of the subject can be identified easily.
I ready the picture digitally, print it and cut it out. After spraying
it with a fixative and letting it dry, I adhere it to the prepared
wood using decoupage paste and then apply 4 coats of decoupage paste over
the image. When the sign is complete with all hand painted lettering and/or embellishments,
I coat with 2 or more applications of polyurethane.
You can either send the photo in an e-mail or upload it as a file. Please send photo('s)
at a workable size (not too big or small) and .bmp .jpg or .gif would be best.
If you don't know how to resize, etc., let me know and I'll walk you through it.
When I receive the photo, I digitally ready it and e-mail the finished
layout of your plaque, plate, sign or tile to you for your changes
and/or approval - along with the cost for the final work.
