Here's a handy little index page for all of my train gif scenes to date. These scenes are like model railroads in that they're rarely fully complete, there's always more detail to add. If you have any historical corrections, suggestions or general comments, please e-mail. I'd be glad to hear from you!
Cartier Mining Railway - Located in Northern Quebec, the Cartier primarily hauls iron ore (taconite) and lumber. Up until last year their motive power fleet consisted exclusively of ALCo/MLW products. These units have mostly been replaced by GE AC4400CW's.
New York Central - St. Thomas Ontario is located on the Canada Southern mainline. Up until about 30 years ago, the Canada Southern was a high-speed double track mainline for New York-Chicago freights. Recently the line has been single tracked and has since fallen into decay with only small portions still in use. This scene recreates the heyday of New York Central trains circa 1952.
Southern Ontario - 1956 - Canadian National and Canadian Pacific star in this scene, pieced together from about 4 different locations around London, Ontario. Lots of steam and early diesels are evident on both roads with more trains always being added.
Virginian Railroad - The Virginian was synonymous with big electrics and coal. Here you can see both as well as big steam and some diesels (FM Trainmasters and H-16-44's) As always, more will be added when I get around to it.
