  
I take stock in my life and realize how fortunate I am
I can finally see beauty and bounty as others can, my mind is clear again
Pent up feelings and fears have washed away like opening the flood gates of a dam
I hope that these feelings will remain, my mind continues to mend
The beauty of the world around has started to return
I see the morning sunrise in it's golden beauty and glory
I realize there is so much that I still have to do and so much to learn
I am now like everyone else I await each new day, the daily edition of my life's story
These feelings are not new to me, just hidden and buried in my soul
I see now what I have missed and wonder how I could have everbeen that way
A chance has been given to me to make my life fulfilling and whole
My priority now to do what I should have done before, relish everyday
I want to embrace the entire world and seek forgiveness for my past
A desire to make new friends and help those that I dropped by the wayside
I thank the Almighty powers that be and hope these feelings last
If I should go back to where I was before I believe my soul would die
