End of Summer 2000

We finished our summer by getting reacquainted (the girls were gone most of the summer to camp) during a week at Hilton Head, SC. We'd never been there, so didn't know what to expect. It was HOT, at least 15 or 20 degrees warmer than Chicago. We spent lots of time in the condo's pool and in the ocean. We also rode bikes around the island and on the beach. Along the way, we saw lots of deer, and a couple of alligators in some ponds on the island. These were too close to the bike path for Laurie's liking!
We took a boat ride to see dolphins and explore the surrounding waters. Look here for some of what we discovered... |
