Bunny Houses
Several years ago, I was working at a convenience store and one night, when I was taking trash out, I got to looking at the boxes that our fountain soda syrup came in.  Heavy, double weight cardboard.  They were almost impossible to break down and had small rounded openings at one end  for the fountain connections.  I had been looking for something to help keep my rabbits warm at night and looking down at that box, i though "Hmmm."  I took the box home and the next day, my 'Bunny Houses' were born.   I basically used the same principal as a dog house.  Someplace to get shelter from the wind and that could be filled with straw or hay for warmth.   VIOLA!!  Bunny Houses!!      Due to numerous requests, here are some instructions to make your own "Bunny Houses".
Here are the raw materials you start with.  There are two sizes of boxes.  The big one is 8 inches tall, 11 inches wide, and 18 inches long.  The smaller one is 4 inches tall with the other measurments the same.  People with small breeds can easily utilize the smaller boxes.  I have Hollands and use them frequently for a single animal.
If you look closely at the sides, you can see evidence of the double layering of cardboard which provides extra insulation on it's own.
This is my hand in comparison to the larger box so you can get an idea of the size.
These boxes are so easy to make that children can make them except maybe for this part.  It takes a heavy, sharp knife to cut through the multiple
layers of heavy cardboard so this may be a job for a parent.

This picture clearly shows the thicknesses of the cardboard that has to be cut through to make an opening big enough for a rabbit.  Now you see why I say, sharp, heavy knife and suggest an adult make the cuts..
