St. Patrick's Day 2000 at Marvin's Hi-Ball
The Marvin's Locals who have been Beercore for decades
On St. Patrick's Day, Friday, March 17th, 2000, Last Call and Powerstall played Marvin's Hi-Ball in Joplin. The bar is a dive and hosts and diverse crowd of drunks, vagrants, and misfits. On this rainy March eve, hardcore would become a part of their lives....
And they went crazy...we had 40, 50, 60 year old drunken men and women screaming our songs. At the end of the night, ashtrays and shotglasses disappeared, Mark got headbutt, and Jason yelled at Marvin about cutting off the bands free beer.
There will be no shows at Marvin's in the future. Yes, we ruined it for everyone, I guess.
