The band is dead but the memories remain...

The members of Last Call had been playing music together in other projects since 1995. Towards the end of 1999, being sick of it all, they finally got together and formed a band. JSinn and Chubba grabbed Isaiah to play bass and then Mark Williams on guitar. Later, they brought in ex-Psychobabble guitarist Tom Watkins to fill in the lacking element. They played several shows in the area, which were pretty successful with good turnouts, especially at the Keystone Lounge.

The band opened The Sound Factory in the beginning of 2000, which saw some of the area's best shows in a long time. However, Keith, the proprietor of the Sandwich Factory, was in extreme debt...somewhere around $40,000...with the owner, Carter. So he was evicted and the club was lost like so many before in Joplin...The cow Palace, the ATA Hall, Club Slam, Studio-B, Culture Shock, The Grind...

The first cd "Beercore" was released in March of 2000. A little over a hundred copies were made, and more are still available. The band plans on recording a second cd in the future featuring some of the older songs like "Kelly's Heroes" and "Last Call," along with the newer material they've written.

Last Call was two-fisted, home brewed, oldschool hardcore from the Midwest. Everyone in the band comes from a variety of backgrounds ranging from hardcore, metal, punk, ska, and even classical orchestra.

What we did is old school,tell-it-like-it-is hardcore...
