We Will
Do not be afraid, my sister,  for surely you were brought into the kingdom for such a time as this.   It is no accident that you were born in this century to be alive at this precise moment in history.  God had a reason for your being here, and a plan for your life.

Never in our wildest nightmares could we have envisioned the evil that occurred on September 11, 2001.  That was something that only happened in the movies.  Nothing could have prepared our hearts for this crushing grief, this realization that we are so utterly vulnerable and open to terrorist attack on our own American soil.   The common enemy that stalks each one of us now has a name....it is "fear".    Fear can cripple the bravest soul.  So how do we combat this enemy?  The answer is simple.  We conquer by our faith, and therein lies our peace.  What is our faith in?  Our government?  No...our government is also fearful.  Our leaders?  They, too, are like us - looking for hope.  But we do have Someone Who has promised to be there for us at this place in time...His name is Jesus.  The Word says:  "Those who trust in the Lord shall be as Mt. Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever...as the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people forevermore."

I remember when I was a young mother, I had such a fear of nuclear bombs...we lived very near an airforce base.  I would lie in bed at night and plan escape routes if such a thing should happen, how I would get the kids from school and go get my husband at work, and what roads would get us out of the city the quickest.    I had grown up in the 50's and 60's during the cold war between Russia and America, with people building bomb shelters in their backyards, and of course this fueled my obsession.  And then I met Jesus personally, Savior to woman.  As I grew in the Word, I discovered one day that I no longer had that awful fear of nuclear bombs.  He had taken it all away.  I had accepted Him as my source of safety, as my refuge, as my peace giver, and like Paul in the Bible, I could say that to live is Christ, but to die is gain.

There are hard times ahead.  How do I know this?  Because God said it was coming, and I believe His Word.   What can you, as a mother and wife, do to protect your family?  As our troops are sent overseas to find these terrorists and as we battle the enemies that lurk among us, there is one thing that you can do that will call down the forces of Heaven to build hedges around you and your loved ones.  You can fight this battle on your knees.  The Word says that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man (or woman) avails much.   Cover our nation, our troops, our  leaders, and our loved ones every day in consistent prayer.  Bind the forces of darkness in Jesus' name, and loose angels to minister to our needs.  You have a right to do this because Jesus has given you His righteousness when you became His child.  Use the sword of the spirit (the Word of God) to battle satan and his armies.  Stick that sword in him every day.  He is a defeated foe, and I've read the end of the book...we are the winners.   In this, the end of the age, be a woman of prayer.  Be a woman after God's own heart.  He will never leave you or forsake you.
