Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely

*~* Chapter 1: She's Gone, Just Like You Wanted *~*

"It was a lovely service wasn't it." Mary Von Trapp said, trying to hold back her tears.

"Yes it was, and the day was so beautiful." Vykki Von Trapp added as she patted her mother on the back was trying to hold back her tears.

The day was beautiful.  The birds songs were extra sweet, the scenery was quite lovely.  But there was this strange aura in the air.  As if something was missing. AJ sat at the other side of the limo watching Mary and Vykki cry and tears began to stream down his face.  'How could I let that happen?' he thought.  'Only if I'd believed her, she'd still be here.  I'd be able to hold her in my arms and tell her how much I love her.' The limo pulled up to AJ's house and he got out.  "Good bye Mary, Vykki." He said before shutting the door." He walked up to his house and walked through the door.  The scent of Nikki's perfume still lingered around the house.  As if she was still there. AJ took off his jacket and loosened his tie and sat on the couch.  Kicking his shoes off, he put his feet up on the couch and closed his eyes. "I'm sorry AJ, I really am!" Nikki's words floated through his head as he rested his eyes.  He couldn't get images of her out of his head. Every time he blinked he'd see her.  He just wished she would stay a little longer so he could tell her how much he missed her. Getting frustrated, he jumped off the couch and went into the kitchen.  Why, he didn't know. He hadn't eaten in days and it was beginning to show.  He was looking skinnier than usual and he began to feel very weak. He trudged up the stairs to his bedroom.  Which made him feel even worse. Her clothes were all over his room.  Her make up and other things were on the vanity. AJ let himself fall onto the bed, inhaling her scent, remembering how they'd just made love on those sheets just a few days ago.  And now she was gone forever. He went into the bathroom and splashed a little water on his face.  He
looked up at the mirror, examining his puffed eyes and over grown goatee.  He definitely didn't recognize himself.  This was the first time he'd actually, truly cried.  'How am I going to live without her?' he asked himself as he removed his clothes and stepped into the shower.  He let the scolding hot water run over his bear chest as he thought about her.

"Oh I'm sorry!" she said as she picked up the papers off the floor.

"No, it was my fault, I'm sorry." AJ smiled at the girl as he picked up her books.

They dropped to the floor at the same time and bumped heads.  He looked at her and smiled.  So happy to see she was smiling back.

"By the way, I'm Nikki, Nikki Von Trapp." She said extending her hand.

"AJ McLean." AJ replied shaking her hand steadily.

"Um, there's a Starbucks about a block from here, you wanna go and get some coffee?"

"Sure, that would me nice." AJ replied.

AJ sat up straight in his bed.  He'd been dreaming about when he met Nikki for the first time.  He had a major headache, and he was surrounded by a cold sweat.  His whole body ached as he lay back down.  There was a slight drizzle of rain outside that hit his window pain with constancy.  "God, please bring her back to me!" AJ yelled at the top off his lungs.  "I don't think I can live with out her, please! Just bring her back!"
