Information about Kyiv

Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine founded on picturesque shores of Dnipro (Slavutich). Kyiv is one of the oldest cities in the world. Many centuries sun rises above ancient and mighty Slavutich. Beauty of handmade palaces of Kyiv - “mother of Russian cities”, capital of Kyiv-Rus reflects in its sky-blue waters.

Today Kyiv, capital of Ukraine, is one of the largest industrial, science and cultural centers of Ukraine. Above tree millions of open-hearted, hospitable and loving his city, kyivers live here. Guest will be surrounded with green hills, which are crowned with ancient gold cupolas in Kyiv. Kyiv long time ago has conciliated fame as one of the greenest cities in the world, not in vain it’s named “garden city”…

• Electric current voltage is 220 volts, with European style plugs.

• Weather in Kyiv during July is clear and sunny. Temperature varies between 25°C and 28°C.

• Currency exchange is available at nearly all banks and hotels. $1.00 is worth 5.33 Ukrainian hrivnas, 1 € - 6,80 hrivnas; however the rate needs to be checked on arrival.

• Official week holidays are Saturday and Sunday. Shops and stores are usually open.

• Each team must bring 2 national flags (2x1,2 m) and national anthem on CD.

• By direct international flights from all European capitals to Borispol Airport.

• By train, bus or car to Kyiv.
