Before we introduce the awards, here's a journal chronicling the search for fanfiction throughout the net. It sometimes brings attentions to fics that almost made it into the archive, but didn't quite make the cut.

And now for what you've come to this page for. It's the SC Kingdom Hearts Fanfiction Awards =3. I don't know if this will grow enough to be a full blown fanfiction contest later on, but for now I'll just be handing out little banners to good fanfiction that deserve recognition.

Reason: Time and time again, I am surprised by this author's skill and talent. She beautifully and introspectively weaves tiny tragedies within her stories and brings each to a satisfying end. With each new piece, she's able to penetrate the upbeat tones of Kingdom Hearts and reveal the deep scars of our beloved characters. Her writing is dark, haunting, forceful... and other times comforting, laced with the hope and care characteristic in Kingdom Hearts. Guardian gets my first KH:Second Chance Fanfiction Award.
