My Story

I started my weight loss journey in September 2005. At the time, I was a size 16 (currently a size 6/8 as of August 2006) and I felt terrible. I had recurrent yeast infections, I was tired all the time and yet, I had insomnia. I just wasn't myself. I knew I needed to do something.

In September, I started with making exercise a regular part of my life. I had signed up to join a gym in February 2005, but I went sporadically until September when I began working out five days a week. At that time, I did not change my diet. I decided to change one thing at a time.

October 10, 2005 was the day my diet, and my life, changed. I chose that day to start a healthy eating plan. It was a Monday, the start of the week, and so it seemed a good place to start a new plan. I had tried many diets over the years including starvation, but they never worked long-term. No surprise there. Diets are something you are suppossed to eventually go off of whereas healthy eating is something you can do for a lifetime. The following links tell each piece of my story:
