First of all, I'd like for you to read this background information. Trust me, it's best to read beforehand. If you know how NGE started, don't skip this, he's telling you were HE's starting this story, not where the Anime starts. Secondly, I left the Austaralian spellings, I think they add character!

This is a version of Neon Genesis: Evangelion written completely by myself. It should in no way be acted upon by those who created it. It is a story of my own, that shall more than likely remain unpublished.

The story is set before the first episode of Evangelion, in the year 2015. However, some things are different than what they are in the true story.

Before the Second Impact, the world was in a state of great technological advancement. Then the Second Impact occured. The country of Australia, one of the closest to the disaster, took the brunt of the blast wave from the waking Angel. Yet through some miracle, they survived.

After the government had found out what happened during the Second Impact, they cast aside their old ways. The country of Australia turned it’s back to the monarchy, and everything it stood for. The Republic of Australia was born. Within a year of this declaration in 2000, everything changed for the fledgling nation. New technology was found and utilised, and great things were acheived. But all the time, they were watchful. For they had expanded their field of knowledge, and knew what was to come. So, they created the technology known as Mech-Warrior technology. The perfect synchronisation between man and machine. And, they built five massive Mech-Warrior units, called Titan Mech-Warriors, to defend themselves in case the Angels ever returned.

When they learned of the section known as NERV, Australia knew that NERV was merely a pawn for the almost completely unknown commitee known as SEELE. And so, they came up with a solution. A solution which would benefit all.

So here, the story begins. Again, this is my own ad-lib onto the original story. I pray no one takes offence. If so...well, no one forced you to like it, did they?
