SKY 13

Helicopter Photojournalism

One of the more interesting job duties I have, aside from shooting stories, running live-truck shots, editing final pieces, and at times, field producing, is the job of running the gyrocam in our station's helicopter.

Many of my fellow photographers have an aversion to flying, air-sickness, phobias, etc.. so I get a fair amount of chances to go up and cover breaking news or gather aerial video needed for other stories.

These are some shots on the way home on a sunny day in February, 2006.
