Niagara Falls: Christmas 2004

in my barrel ready to go over...

The Great Blue Shark crept across the Chesapeake Bay and into the snow-capped mountains of West Virginia, through a December blizzard at full-strength, in what was the beginning of the 3000-mile odyssey that would be one of the greatest adventures the children and I would have together. The plan was simple, but there was a lot of driving ahead: 8 states and one Canadian province, all in an attempt to squeeze the road trip from Virginia to Michigan across Ontario to Niagara Falls and back, all in five days, trying to have a great time with so much time on the road...but the time on the road was great for us...the three of us bonded strongly on this trek across two countries, in one of the most memorable experiences we would ever have in the Great Blue Shark.

My neighbor Jorge leant me his inexpensive camera, as my Minolta was still in the shop, so the pictures were hit or miss, yet I was surprised how good some of them came out, especially after the film sat on my desk for 14 months collecting dust. Yeah, I'm poor and a procrastinator...I think most people share these traits...

So enjoy the photo odyssey and feedback is encouraged...
