The Flatirons in Boulder
After our first day of traveling to Horsetooth Mountain, Estes Park, and the eastern roads of the Rocky Mountain National Park, we decided to pass through Boulder and pick up the trail from the other side of the park. During our six-hour odyssey completely through the park, starting from the Grand Lake entrance in the southwest, we travelled along Trail Ridge Road in its entirety, something you can't do in the winter months when the roads, some 12,000 feet above sea level, are covered with snow.
We passed Boulder heading west and got an incredible view of the Flatirons that lie behind the city. Here are some pictures as we passed along the road in Dad's Subaru.
