The Basic rules of Survival |
Typical Scenario :
Imagine you have just crashed in a jungle or a desert. You are miles away from the nearest human habitation. Your life has been suddenly transformed. Instead of sitting in the plane going to the next step of your journey you have found yourself lost. You do not where you are, what you should do. |
|
Questions begin coming in your mind. Do they know we are here? Will they be looking for us? What shall I do? Where shall I sleep, get food or drink. How long will I be here?
|
You even remember the comforts you have a home. The fridge was just meters near, If you felt hungry you could order a pizza using your telephone. If you were thirsty there was a jug of filtered water. When it became dark you switched on the light.
|
Now you have lost all these. You have little or no food. No maps of the place, Most probably the radio's out in the crash and the sun is going down. The clothes you are wearing are not suitable for this type of climate.
|
You sit down on nearby rock, thinking about what you should do. Around you there are people shouting, some have been wounded, others worse still are panicking running around in hysteria.
You begin to remember. You have never been in this situation before. You never thought you would find yourself in this type of situation. Until now you have lived a soft , comfortable life. You have never confronted nature before. You had never felt the need to find food and water, they were near, now they are far. The government thought of all these things, you only had to pay taxes and rates. Now you have nothing. |
Your mind begins to grow numb. First from the overall shock of the crash then because of you own inability to cope.
What should you do at this point ?
