Jon Powell, husband to Dawn Powell, has the fuel behind the fire for your musical entertainment. His endless passion for the drums along with singing and song writing began in 1985. Jons talent for drums grew back in high school when he found out the only spot left in symphonic band was percussion. His parents are classically trained vocalists, so singing just came naturally to him from the start. His mother composed music and was a piano teacher and his father is a well known super tenor from the Kalamazoo Singers. In the photo above, Jon plays a 1965 Ludwig 5-piece with marble imaged shell and a double kick pedal. "I can't just drum...or just sing. If I did that, all the fun would be gone. It all balances out when I'm doing what I love to do most...and that's entertainment."
