Even though this wasn't the planned effect, I think it looks quite nice at the edge of the patio. It will be the perfect place to plant some herbs and other scented flowers. As you can see, I haven't finished mulching across the back of the garden yet, but you get the general idea.

I think, considering the week was interrupted by three days of solid rain, we accomplished a heck of a lot (and more, in fact, that was originally on the agenda, thanks to the super human efforts of my dad)
