My New House - Exterior Views

This is what my house looked like on my first (unofficial) walk-through. The house itself is completed, but the landscaping is not yet done. Amazingly, for Houston, the street actually slopes!

I'm glad I chose one with this orientation. For most of the day, the porch will be shaded from the hot summer sun, as you can see from this photo. That will make it much more pleasant to sit outside in the summer. There are also two electrical outlets right on the porch, which will make hanging Christmas lights a breeze!

Here's a closer view of the porch. One of my first priorities will be to purchase a couple of comfortable chairs to put out there, so I can make the most of it!
